**The requests below are from our Specials Teachers. These teachers instruct the entire student body but don’t have a materials list they send home at the beginning of the year. We will use this space to list items they need for their classrooms. Please contribute if you are able. **
Art Specialist, Ms. Hansen is in need of hand wipes for several grades working with oil pastels.
The 1st, 3rd and 4th grades will be studying about the moon, earth and solar system during the next nine weeks. And 5th grade will be studying the weather, which is impacted by the moon. This is a great event run by the Morehead Planetarium to elaborate the learning experience for any age!

Ebenezer Church Recreation Area
Skywatching sessions are very informal and family-friendly. Each session is scheduled for two hours, but you can arrive and leave at any time during the session. During the evening, you might do any of these things: peek through telescopes for up-close views of celestial objects, take a laser-guided “star tour” of the night sky and learn where to look for major constellations.
Skywatching sessions are at Ebenezer Church Recreation Area, part of Jordan Lake State Recreation Area. This site has restrooms, a picnic shelter and a sandy beach area. You’ll find the telescopes at the far (west) end of the parking lot.
